Zara SS14

WHAHAA Zara has done it again with their recent SS14 Lookbook campaign. I love how fresh they always are with the white spaces and the natural looking models. The combination with the plants this season feels oh so summery helping us to realise, thankfully, that spring is finally on the way!

(In the last post I've notices there was an incorrect auto correction of Roshe*, I do apologise)

The last week has been manic; two university interviews, the start to my art exam, two photo shoots as well as the usual course work, driving lessons and shifts at the pub. I've sat down this evening and it has hit me how utterly exhausted I am. I have made the decision that tonight is going to consist of nothing more than looking at clothes I cant afford, watching Mr Selfridge and listen to London Grammar. It isn't till now I have truly appreciated how relaxing this album is and I strongly recommend it.

Wish List

Stella McCartney Grey Sweater, Naked 3 Makeup Pallet, Journelle.com Lace Bra, Cheap Monday Heeled boots, T by Alexander Wang Nude Vest, Rag & Bone White Top, Nelly.com Black Scallop Dress, Zara Nude Slip On, J.W Anderson Grey Skirt

Inspired by Balenciaga...

As much as I wish I could afford designer clothes, with a part time job and saving for traveling it's never going to happen. I have been on the search for a Balenciaga crackle effect top look alike and managed to miss both Zara's and H&M's white recreations. Fortunately I was stalking a girls Instagram (I do this far too often) and she had found an intersting version of the design in black from Asos. By the time I got round to buying it it had been reduced, scoreeee!

This picture of me wearing the top was taken by one of my friends and upcoming photographers Keith Rogers. Please check his work out on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Also keep an eye out for his new website which will be launched very soon!

OOTD

Winter weather automatically makes me dress like a boy, all I seem to wear is fitted trousers and baggy jumpers. I used to have the Topshop bodycon skirt (yep the one that every other girl seems to have). I got so bored of seeing it that it went on eBay but I never bought a black skirt to replace it. I felt it was about time to try and dress a little more feminine so I managed to get my hands on this Zara peplum skirt which is my new found love.

Saatchi

This was the most incredible exhibition I have seen in a while. It is sculpted by Richard Wilson who is well known for creating architectural illusions. The smell in the room gave the media away however just by looking you wouldn't be able to tell that the mirror like surface (reflecting the ceiling) is actually a massive pool of oil. I can't get over how slick (pardon the pun) and beautiful the room seemed.

New Year

My New Years dress was a risky one. I usually go for tighter dresses otherwise I feel I'm wearing a tent with too much material wrapped around me however Victoria Beckham's design completely changed my opinion on the loose peplum look. I wish I could afford clothing from her collection however I can't so I went for, what I think, is second best.
Some may argue this dress is quite tent like however I have fallen in love with the loose peplum shape and royal blue mohair, it's so perfect for going out in this cold weather. I love the texture of it, it feels wrong, like it should be material for a coat, but it works so well.
