Christmas At Dad's

I have been wanting some decent knee high boots since the beginning of Autumn but couldn't find any that I couldn't picture my Mum in. I'm so happy I found these, I wouldn't have been able to afford them myself so Christmas was timed perfectly and Im going to Paris in the New Year so they will be perfect.

This is from pretty much every single member of my family as well as a little input from myself. I usually go off designer items after a while and therefor never get them but Celine bags *sigh*. I feel like the luckiest girl. I probably wont use it as much as my other bags just because I'll be scared which completely defeats the purpose of a bag but at least I can look at it, touch it and call it my own.

London With Dan

The aim was to go the the V&A however Dan and I are as bad as each other and got side tracked in Oxford street. It was a bizarre experience. The usual London shop would consist of Topshop, H&M, Primark etc but for some reason the thought of the these shops (actually not H&M, we just didn't have the time to go in) made me feel sick.

I have a new found love - & Other Stories. I came across the website through their Instagram and have literally planned my whole 2014 wardrobe around their Sale. I bought a royal blue mohair peplum dress which I had to beg my boyfriend for, he finally gave in. I'm planning to wear it for New Year so it will probably be the content of my next post. I also found the velvet portrait sweater which is shown in my previous Wish List. It turned out to be two pounds cheeper in store compared to on the website sale.

Wish List

Zara Apple Juice Perfume, Frend Rose Gold Headphones, The Gentlewoman Book, COS Sheer Top, Whistles Croc Textured Phone Case, & Other Stories Leather Bracelet, Zara Mirror Clutch,
& Other Stories portrait Sweater, Estella Bartlett Star Necklace, H&M Pinstripe Bralet

Some Of My Favourites

Much to my Mum's disgust I have been obsessing over Miss Guided's, Alexander Wang inspired pieces. In the summer I bought myself a white, mesh panel dress as a well done gift to myself after exams.
This jumper went into the sale just before christmas and Mum gave in as it was only £15. Its probably one of those items of clothing that you wear once and then you come across it years later scrunched up at the bottom of your wardrobe completely forgotten about, but hey ho.

Both the necklace and bag are for my boyfriend. I had no idea about the necklace, its my birthstone. Its sweet that he thought about a piece of jewellery that was personal to me. I went through a phase of wearing massive chunky statement necklaces however I think delicate chains look so much more special.

I needed this bag. I love the clean cut shape of the faux leather. This is my new everyday bag. Every time I went to london I worried about my bag as I didn't own one with a zip so I was always a little on edge, now I don't need to worry. It also has a long removable strap which is fab because I feel ridiculous holding a bag on my wrist. I've been so spoilt.

Christmas OOTD

Our manic final minute shopping on monday resulted into me finding the most beautiful dress in Zara. I have seen quite a lot of slip style dresses recently however most of them are tartan, I love them but there will come a time when tartan has been over done and I would be left with a beautiful dress that no one wants to see anymore so finding this grey one was perfect. It it very unlikely for it to go out of fashion and I can also dress it down with a wooly jumper over the top, multifunctional.

From Scratch

I've managed to completely mess up my blog and lose all of my previous posts, not that I'm an complete expert at blogging, its not the end of the world. I'm quite excited to start fresh, instead of completely basing the blog on fashion I want to intertwine a dairy sort of thing and include my Art and Photography work to make it feel more personal. I'm going to try and update the blog at least once a week if not more but we'll have to see how it goes and if I actually have anything worth while to post.

I also feel as through I need to explain the reason behind my current blog name 'Flutterbye Reflections'. Basically I'm obsessed with butterflies which explains the 'flutterbye' and then 'reflections' is because this blog is going to be a reflection of my life/thoughts etc plus the double meaning of butterflies having symmetrical wings like a reflection, deep, I know.
